Thankful for Marzipan!

As I wrote about a few posts ago, I meant to write some thankful for posts, but never got around to it. In that post, I expressed my gratitude for my awesome colleagues. Well, here’s a quick post about my adorable kitty Marzipan!

Marzipan, my adorable kitty. She’s been with me for nearly five years, ever since I got her as a six-month old kitten. When my roommate Alex and I first took her, she would suckle on our necks and drool everywhere (you wouldn’t notice the slobber till she pulled away)β€”an act I was certain meant she was weened too early or something. Now, she slobbers less and meows more, but she’s still as energetic and rambunctious as ever: trying to stand on the top of doors, jumping from the top of one bookshelf to another, begging for catnip, and stealing pieces of pizza and bread from our kitchen table. I don’t know what life would be like without her. She’s traveled across the country with me, and been my company when I’ve felt the lowest. I adore her.

Right now she’s napping on my roommate’s lap. Last night, when I got back from Ohio, she was mewing for me, and then when I sat down, she crawled and walked all over me, purring like crazy before we both settled down for a two-hour nap. I can’t imagine life without her awesome companionship.

I still want to meet Marzipan! <3 She looks so sweet! My family and I had a cat (Angel) for 14 years until unfortunately in October she got very sick and we had to put her down πŸ™ I was sad that I couldn't say goodbye to her, I loved her very much, and I miss her.

Sorry, didn't mean to get all sad!

Oh, I’m sorry to hear about that Becca! My family had a few cats that died a few years ago, and I wasn’t there when they died either. I was pretty mad/upset about it.

You do need to meet Marzipan. Maybe sometime this month you and Phil can come over as we planned in like July! πŸ™‚
