wordle: tag clouds got cooler

After reading Colin’s post a few days ago, I made this tag cloud using wordle, but then never got around to posting it until dawn’s post reminded me of it. This is a cool tag cloud of my thesis (finished 10 months ago!). You can click on the image to see a larger version.

I like the way wordle makes tag clouds a bit more interesting than more “traditional” ones. You can also change a the layout and appearance of tag clouds using wordle. This one, a tag cloud of my del.icio.us tags, uses a grayscale color theme and has words going any which way.

Very cool. Habermas, eh? I think I only quoted him once, if that. πŸ™‚

Yeah, though, upon reflection and distance, I would have used Habermas less and perhaps gone searching for more applicable theories of public. Perhaps Latour.

When I saw Wordle on Anne-Marie’s Infofetishist blog, I tried to load it, and pasted in a document but nothing would appear. I was going to call the computer guys in case the problem was something with my java or something. Can yo show me?

  4. Michael says:

Sure! It’s probably a java issue, but let’s look at it this week.
