Weathers: teachers should write as well

Weathers, Winston. “Teaching Style: A Possible Anatomy.” Eds. Edward P.J. Corbett, Nancy Myers, and Gary Tate. The Writing Teacher’s Sourcebook, 4th ed. New York: Oxford UP, 2000. 368-373.

372-373: teachers should model writing in front of the class, perhaps five-ten minutes per week, just composing in front of the class, showing style, showing how move things around. Additionally, teachers should do the same assignments as students, or a variation of them, and share with students. [I whole-heartedly agree!] Then, teachers should share with students.

[I like this idea.]
