Here is a tag cloud of the draft of Chapter 1 I am turning into Lisa this morning:

It’s always fun to use that tool, no? Ever since you posted it, I’ve been dumping texts into tagcloud. It is definitely a useful tool as well.
It sounds like your thesis is grinding your head. At least you are generating text–if you weren’t doing that, then there’d be an issue. Even if your text is crappy–which I doubt–at least it’s there. I know that sounds so FYC, but it’s actually how I motivate myself to keep writing–generate something: you can’t polish no-text.
And try smoking some Nat Shermans–they last longer and are more fulfilling than most smokes. Except for American Spirit organic rollies. But I’ve quit.
Be well and write strong!
Very cool tag cloud! I like that “Blogs” is so large. I’m excited to see your finished product.
Hang in there Faris. Oh and keep smoking. It will make my victory during basketball even easier π
In all seriousness, I hope that you are taking care of yourself. These final pushes during grad school are the enemy of self-care.
Let me know when you’re ready for an adult beverage…it’s on me.
You might also like to try my scriptcloud site to generate clouds from your writings…

ok, well, i was looking for a citation for bartholomae, and when i searched, your blog came up. i, too, am working on my ma thesis in rhet/comp and was relieved to discover someone else is banging his head against a wall. (also, of course, relieved to have yet another pointless thing to do in lieu of revising my chapters–procrastination is all the time)
