Oregon State University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor (depending on qualifications), tenure-track faculty position as Director of Writing, with desirable areas of focus or secondary specialties to include professional and technical writing, digital rhetoric, visual literacy, and/or new media. This is a nine-month, full-time (1.0 FTE ), tenure-track appointment. Salary is competitive and the benefits package includes several options for health/dental/life insurance, and retirement.
This faculty member will teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses, including literature and pedagogy, and language, technology and culture. The Department of English has a faculty of about forty people and offers the Bachelor’s degree in English, a Master’s in English, a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing, and participates in a Master’s program in Interdisciplinary Studies.
