I’ve been wanting to see Scott McCloud in Portland (he’s there now) during his tour ever since I found out he was going to be doing a panel on the graphic novel with some Oregonian cartoonists at the Multnomah County Library, but alas… it’s late in the month, and I don’t have the gas money for the trip (it’s 90 miles away), nor really time to take away from my thesis. It’s questionable whether I have the time to write this post. π

Could you direct me to who Scott McCloud is?
Scott McCloud is one of the top experts in comic books. He’s written Understanding Comics, Making Comics, and Reinventing Comics. I honestly haven’t read any of them, but I’ve read a bit about his work, and he sounds pretty interesting. I wanted a chance to see what he had to say, since I love reading online comics, graphic novels, and comic books.
