So, it’s May First, the day some of us connote with the lingering pagan influences on our society: May Day. It’s also Labour Day in many countries. I don’t really have time to reflect on it much, though I’d suggest that you check out Engage’s discussion of the holiday and of immigrant rights. I’m left wondering, though, about the coincidence that May Day is both a holiday and a shout of distress: mayday!
