paucity of posts

I’ve realized that I haven’t posted as often here as I’d like, especially about the Writing Center, about the history of rhetoric, and about my thesis and brainstorming for it.

It’s just that I’ve been so busy this quarter. I don’t even really have time to be writing this right now; I should be reading some of my students’ informal papers. I’ve noticed that I have four posts in the last three or four weeks on the Writing Center. I haven’t really had time to think about my work there outside of the time that I am there, except with the proposal that Sarah, Marieke, and I wrote for the Writing Center Conference here in the spring. I’m excited for this.

I’ve really enjoyed my time at the Writing Center. I asked Lisa and Dennis about working there next term on payroll, but it appears the funding is probably taken up. I might ask to work there for credit again, but if I do, really, I should think about dropping a class for next quarter. After this quarter (crises with my time and stress, over-extending myself), I really need to take care of myself and not take on too much again. Then again, I told myself this at the end of last quarter.

Okay, I’ve really got to get to work on my students’ work.
