Keith and Derek came over, and we watched Billy Elliot, which I hadn’t seen since it came out in 2000. It’s amazing how much different my viewing was six years later. My understanding of gender, class, and symbolism is so much deeper than when I was a sophomore undergraduate. What a good movie.
As the night dragged on, I became distracted by Wikipedia, especially because of the rhetoric portal. I set up an account, created my first wikipedia article on epideictic rhetoric, and then began editing the Portal page, by adding a bit about Cicero and Quintilian. I’m excited to add more. I think Keith and Derek got bored once I got involved in my computer.
