I am interested in the Miller Brewing Company because I find it interesting how the company got started in Wisconsin and I would like to know why the company picked Wisconsin to start the business. Also, I want to find out the different things the company had to do to become so well known and do so well in business. I want to know how the Miller Brewing Company worked throughout the years. Were there times when the company had downfalls and almost closed? How did the company come back? My research question is how and why did the Miller Brewing Company start in Wisconsin, were there any major difficulties along the way, and how did it become so well known?
This question is important and worth exploring because it will help give me and others a better understanding of the Miller Brewing Company and how they have come to run their business throughout the years. It will help explain the ups and downs of the business. I do not currently have a satisfactory understanding of it as this time because I have not looked into great detail about the company and I was unaware of its existence until a few weeks ago. Exploring my research question can help me become aware of the Miller Brewing Company and inform others of their work here in Wisconsin.
I think this topic is really interesting because it relates to a very popular industry in Wisconsin as well as historical connections to the German influence. I think you should also include research about why German culture made such a large impact on Wisconsin and the brewing industry. As a Wisconsinite, I find this a great topic to further research because beer is so “important” to so many different social events even in our society today.
This is one of my favorite topics yet. I find this to be very fascinating! I work at a bar back home and for as many times I have handled Miller Beer, I still do not know much about it. This topic is very relevant because Wisconsin is known for beer consumption and this will relate well to Wisconsin’s society. My questions are: Who established Miller, Where is the company located (Milwaukee? I think.). Also, with this topic you could also mention the Milwaukee Brewers. In Miller Park (Home of the Brewers), Miller Lite is just about the only kind of beer sold at the games. In closing, this topic is very unique and I’m very interested in seeing how your project progresses going forward. Nice work and good luck!!
Just a quick suggestion: take full advantage of the book and now documentary, “Bottoms Up.” I just used it for the last segment. It is a quick over view of drinking in Wisconsin and has a part on the Miller Brewing Company. Its a great source!
