A source that I will be using does not exactly fit with Little Bohemia. I will be using the police records from the Eau Claire police department from the 1920’s. I selected this course because I believe it will give me a better understanding of the crime that was around during the time of incident.
This source is very trustworthy because its from the department directly. Its a little confusing to read because the information is very board. There are cases and accusations that do not really occur today.
I am very excited to incorporate this information into my research. I think it is important to understand the huge influence that Little Bohemia had on the crime in Wisconsin. It is important to my readers to understand the comparison to normal crime to this incident.
I think this source is shaping my research process. I am comparing the normal crime in Wisconsin to the big event that caused so many problems in the FBI. I think this source will give me a better understanding of what other things changed due to this.
I think looking into the police records will really help you expand your knowledge from this region in particular, but also help you gain a sense of crime life in the 20’s. I find it interesting that you picked up the police records and made a connection to your research project. If you try and question the records you will look at, I feel that you will then gain a sense of intelligence by trying to connect to why, how, and who carried out crimes in the 1920’s. Knowing some of these answers will then help you connect crimes together with Little Bohemia hopefully 🙂
I really enjoy your topic and I am interested to see what things you bring together to explain what happened during the intense event of Little Bohemia! I just find this so interesting because I have been to the building where the shooting took place, and also I’ve seen the building included in famous movies and history lessons in school.
The route you are taking is different but good! I want to know more about the crimes that you read from this source. Be sure to provide them in your exploratory essay, it will only make your research and this source more effective. I think this would be a great way to connect to the crimes that could have possibly influenced the larger event.
I think it is a good idea to use the Eau Claire police depatment records from the 1920s and incorporate them into your essay and topic. However, this blog post is a little short and does not really give me any information to take back from it other than it is a credible source because it is from the police department. Are you able to explain more in depth about what you found in these records or possibly give some examples of the accusations and cases mentioned? If you do this i think this source can be very useful in your essay. Nice Work!
