		<description>I think we might be able to move beyond the nation as family, but I&#039;m curious if we can move beyond it being gendered.  I had a great course from Minnie Sinha (History) and she has a nice little monograph on Gender and Nation.  I think they may be cemented as long as we have gender as an axis of identity.  But the family thing, I&#039;m right there with you.  Let&#039;s toss that one overboard :)</description>
