That point about Obama being called a Muslim as if being a Muslim would be a problem… the example of the Muslim soldier… that so needed to be said. Reminds me of how people who have been “accused” of being gay often want to sue for slander.
Marjorie sent me a link this morning to http://peterdavid.malibulist.com/archives/006523.html who points out that when Kennedy was running many people said his being a Catholic was a problem. It’s all the fear of the other — Catholic, Muslim, gay… We’ve progressed some, but not that far yet, obviously.
