day one

After a week of orientation last week, which left me drained, and a good, relaxing weekend, today is the first day of the semester! Semester. It’s got such a nice ring to it. After three years on the quarter system, I’m excited for classes that last longer. Yes, I’m a nerd. Of course I am. I’m in grad school.

I teach English 15: Rhetoric and Composition on MWF, so I’m excited to be in the classroom again in only an hour and a half. I’m also taking a few classes that look fun, so it should be exciting. I look at my iCal and I’m amazed with how much empty space there is on it. It looks more white and empty than it did when I was a full-time instructor. I bet that will change soon, though.

Well, that’s all for now.
