I’ve been wanting to see Scott McCloud in Portland (he’s there now) during his tour ever since I found out he was going to be doing a panel on the graphic novel with some Oregonian cartoonists at the Multnomah County Library, but alas… it’s late in the month, and I don’t have the gas money for the trip (it’s 90 miles away), nor really time to take away from my thesis. It’s questionable whether I have the time to write this post.

Could you direct me to who Scott McCloud is?
Scott McCloud is one of the top experts in comic books. He’s written Understanding Comics, Making Comics, and Reinventing Comics. I honestly haven’t read any of them, but I’ve read a bit about his work, and he sounds pretty interesting. I wanted a chance to see what he had to say, since I love reading online comics, graphic novels, and comic books.
