new draft of chapter 2

So today I finished revising Chapter 2. There’s a whole lot left to do (2 more chapters which have been barely started, and then a conclusion), but I feel good about how Chapter 2 looks.

Here’s the previous draft of Chapter 2 (when I thought it would be Chapter 1). I only used 50 words in this tag cloud when I made it over a month ago.

Collin asked in a comment on a previous post if visualizing my writing in tag clouds is helping, and if seeing the differences between drafts is helping in the revision process. To be honest, I haven’t put a lot of thought into it. I originally posted these to give readers an idea of the content, though it makes sense to be reflecting on my writing using tag clouds. I should spend some time thinking about it, but tonight I want to get some more reading and writing done. One thing I’ve noticed though, is that I’m quite fond of certain adverbs, such as indeed and rather, and certain prepositions, such as including. But the use of tag clouds in reflecting on my own writing is something I’ll definitely return to.
