Genre Analysis of Weblog – article

Miller, Carolyn R., and Dawn Shepherd. “Blogging as Social Action: A Genre Analysis of the Weblog” Into the Blogosphere: Rhetoric, Community, and Culture of Weblogs. Ed. Laura J. Gurak, Smiljana Antonijevic, Laurie Johnson, Clancy Ratliff, and Jessica Reyman. June 2004. 6 Nov. 2005 http://blog.lib.umn.edu/blogosphere/blogging_as_social_action_a_genre_analysis_of_the_weblog.html.

This was a really good analysis of blogs as a genre. I don’t have anything to add, other than to post this to remind myself to look at it later when writing my paper, in case I want to draw on it (which I probably will). Perhaps my relunctance to write more on this essay comes from sitting in front of my iBook for six hours.

    anna,

You might be more specific if you have questions. Not sure if you’re needing to read one (I haven’t read any), or write one, or what. Not the best place to ask such a question, either — on a four-year-old blog post.
