The University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire has many students that enjoy having a drink or two, this timeline follows the history of Wisconsin breweries and how they survived the period of prohibition. I want students to imagine what would happen, specifically here at Eau Claire, if prohibition was reenacted. I also followed a few specific breweries: Pabst, MillerCoors, and Leinenkugel’s, to see in what ways they flourished following prohibition’s repeal. I have done research to determine what happened after prohibition in the United States and at the end give a taste of what our city, Eau Claire, would be like if prohibition was in action today.
